Thoughts That Attract Us
There,s a difference between the thoughts we create and the ones we attract. The difference is, we can control the ones we create but we can only accept or reject the ones we don’t. Commercials are great tools for attracting our attention. They work because they are thought creations specifically designed for the purpose of influencing us into buying a ‘Think commercial and ads’ particularly products and services. We mostly accept and energize them by default and before you know it, we’re singing their song on the way to the store. These thoughts were not created by us. Good or bad they are meant to move us to a conclusion > their conclusion. The more we entertain external thoughts, the more energy we commit to them and the more we empower them. The longer we take to dismiss them, the more difficult it will be to get rid of them, to the point where they dictate what we do from the sidelines.
Conscious Selection
Regardless of the Creative process we’re engaged in, we are still the ones determining our actions. We decide which external thoughts we accept, and which ones we won’t. We do this daily countless times, automatically accepting or rejecting without much attention. The fact is, when living consciously, we don’t have to consider every single thought to determine whether we accept or reject it. Part of our own thought-established programming is to automatically select the ones we believe will support us and to automatically reject the ones that don’t. This is an example from L life. “Being a vegan for 36 years and finding myself in an environment where meat is consumed, just by being in that environment the thought of eating meat will present itself, but will automatically be rejected without consideration based on the internal program I,d already set in place. If on the other hand I hadn’t categorized and placed these types of thoughts in my mental life, I,d risk them infiltrating my consciousness and popping up in different ways.” In a meat-eating environment that thought creation is doing exactly what it’s designed to do; determine the actions of others for a specific agenda without being personal. In this instance someone designed a creation and the completion was that everyone in that environment would eat whatever is being served. Aware or unaware it can be rejected.
Most of these automatic thought creations are not person specific and can easily be barred, but we have to be aware that some thoughts can come to us by association. For example if you are fasting and walk pass a restaurant you may not be tempted to go in, however you may accept the thought that eating sounds good, which can lead you to start thinking about food. This simple thought left unchecked gets the opportunity to turn into something bigger until it consumes your mind. Immediately it is better to identify and delete that thought as soon as possible. Now for any other person who eats meat and is not fasting, whether you planned to stop there or not if you automatically accept the thought, you will most likely end up in the restaurant. In this case you’re making an emotional connection to a thought that will motivate you into the restaurant although it’s not your thought not generated by you. There’s a 3,5 seconds rule that L discovered that makes it easy to protect yourself from unproductive thoughts and can be used to protect your consciousness. To be continued
